In the best location right by lots of restaurants etc. was exactly how it looked on the pictures, came with lots of amenities and was very clean upon arrival. Keys handover was smooth as we were contacted by a representative the day before we flew and were in constant contact up until we arrived.
Only downside is the noise at night/in the morning if you have the windows open which is likely if you go in summer as it was very hot however there was nothing negative about the apartment itself.

Higly recommended. Perfect location, apartment as described. Check-in experience was excellent and matched our time of arrival from the airport. The staircase of the building is dirty, and sometimes the doors can be noisy during the nights. Therefore, if you are sensitive to noises, using earplugs during the nights might be a good idea. Especially during summers, in case you want to keep the windows open while you sleep - because the street is a popular location with many restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay. Place was beautiful, well equipped and in a great location. There was an issue with internet access caused by the internet provider and the agency quickly reacted by providing a 4G access point to solve out work part of the stay. Communication was great and not speaking French wasn't a problem either. Highly recommend this location and we would come back without hesitation.

Schöne kleine Einzimmer-Wohnung direkt am Hafen. Für einen Städtetrip ist alles vorhanden. Vieles ist fußläufig erreichbar, ansonsten ist auch die Bushaltestelle oder Metro nah.
Leider wird zur Zeit das Nachbarhaus grundsaniert, weshalb es tagsüber ziemlich laut war. Dennoch haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen :)

The apartment is nice and well-presented and as per description.
It is right in the heart of the city next to the port with many bars and restaurants nearby.
The staircase leading up to it is narrow and needs some cleaning and a coat of paint.
Overall a good stay.

Evin konumu harika ..hem gezilip görülmesi gereken yerlere çok yakin hem de alisveris yapilacak caddelere.Söyle diyebilirim ki Notre Dame de la Garde ve Valon des Auffres gibi uzak noktalara bile yürüyerek gittim.Les calenques için kalkan gemiler zaten limanin hemen basinda ve daire bu açidan çok rahat ulasabileceginiz bir konumda(dairedeki brosürler de seçim yapip online bilet alip vakit kaybetmemem açisindan çok yardimci oldu).Daire tam resimlerde görüldügü gibiydi,ancak karsinda insaat oldugu için ben panjurlari pek açamadim.Beni asil mutsuz eden güvenlik durumuydu. Dairenin bulundugu apartmana giris kapisi hiçbir zaman tam kapanmiyor çünkü asagidaki restaurant çalisanlari kapi kilidine selpak yerlestirip kapanmasini engelliyorlar(bu durumu ilettigimde ajansin yaptigi açiklamaydi). Hatta iki gün eve döndügümde merdivenlerde gürültü duyup biraz daha dolasip onlarin gitmesini bekleyip eve girdim.Karsi dairemin bile kapisi zorlanip kilit yeri kirilmisken bu durum yanliz basina daireyi tutmus bir bayan için çok tedirgin ediciydi.

Schöne Wohnung aber anstrengende Kommunikation im Vorfeld!
🙂 Die Lage ist super zentral.
Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber.
Die Dame, die uns in die Wohnung gelassen hat, war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hat uns sogar noch Tipps für Restaurants geschickt.
🙁 Die Wohnung wird von einer Firma vermietet. Bereits einige Tage vor der Anreise wird man regelmäßig mit Nachrichten regelrecht "bombadiert". Man soll sich auf deren Homepage registrieren, es werden unverschämte Gebühren angedroht, falls man den Mülleimer nicht leert oder Dreck hinterlässt.

Great location with walking distance to the port. Flat was clean and bed was comfortable. Great for a base to explore the area. Close to metro links and bus and bike links. Located close to restaurants and bars so easy to get food but does mean there is noise from the street outside late into the night.
Check in was not as smooth as it could have been due to the person who had the keys not being able to communicate using the Airbnb platform. The bathroom also had an unpleasant odour and does not have any extractor fan ventilation.

Situé au dessus des bars et restaurants, dans une rue animée et dans un immeuble sale, ce logement est très bruyant. Le matin, les engins de nettoyage des rues vrombissent dès 7h du matin et s'activent pendant près de 2h. la cage d'escalier est immonde, jonchée de détritus. L appartement en lui même est propre, mais sans aucun charme et totalement impersonnel. A ce prix là, franchement exorbitant eu égard au logement proposé, il est de loin préférable de réserver une chambre d'hôtel. A éviter donc.

🙁 turvattoman tuntuinen kulku huoneistoon likaisen porraskäytävän kautta. porraskäytävän ulko-ovi auki öisin takasi kaikille pääsyn halukkaille käytävään. välillä käytävästä tuli tupakan haju huoneistoon.
avaimen vastaanoton sopiminen oli vaikeaa. yhteydenotto tapahtui usean kyselyn jälkeen yllättäen tekstiviestillä tuntemattomasta numerosta. tänä herätti myös turvattomuutta ja epäilyä onko viesti asianmukainen vaiko ei.

extremely disappointed with customer service, I wouldn't recommend it. the cleaner didn't have the room ready for our arrival so we had to wait. then, we got robbed on the 1st hour of our stay, not a single message to see of we were ok. instead, we were told we can't stay in their airbnb if we won't turn up before midnight. the agency knew we were kept at the police station to place the statement and we spent there 9 hours. so on the top of robbery, we we're also almost homeless.
and to finish off, the cleaner rang me and texted me on the final day and said "it's not my job to clean your dishes and empty the bins".
I'm seriously disappointed and would never come back.

If you’ve always wanted to sleep in a room that sounded and felt like a pub, with loud music and a smoky and stuffy atmosphere, then look no further and book a stay at 5 Sens.
If you, like us, long for a good night's sleep after a day of exploring Marseille in a quiet, fresh and well-cooled room, then 5 Sens is a place to avoid.
We planned to stay for three nights but left only 16 hours after we checked in. Main reason: the loud music outside, which can be heard very well even with the windows closed. While Google states that restaurants and pubs around 5 Sens will close at 11pm, they are actually allowed to play loud music outside until three o'clock on a Saturday night (and till one o'clock on a Sunday night). Moreover, due to the closed windows and the lack of air conditioning, the apartment heated up to an unpleasant temperature. Cigarette smoke came in through the stairwell. Sleeping in 5 Sens turned out to be impossible - even with earplugs in and my own noise canceling headset on.
We immediately complained to the owner, asked a refund for the nights we didn't stay in 5 Sens, but we’re denied any compensation because the noise pollution 'had a cause outside 5 Sens'. Our stay in 5 Sens and its aftermath have thus turned out to be a below zero experience.
We had more reasons to leave 5 Sens sooner than planned. The reception was not warm and difficult to arrange. The front door of the apartment complex in which 5 Sens is located does not close properly. The stairwell is dirty, the walls and doors in the stairwell are poorly maintained, the restaurant kitchen under the apartment is downright filthy. Upon arrival, the luggage and dishes of the previous guest were still there. Light from the stairwell enters the apartment itself through the large cracks in the front door. A fire alarm and evacuation plan are missing. All that made 5 Sens not only an unpleasant but also unsafe place for us to stay.
