Présentation
The Building est un très bel appartement situé dans un immeuble labellisé Patrimoine du XXème siècle, le Building Canebière. Situé au 7ème étage sur la célèbre Canebière, il offre une très jolie vue grâce à ses 15 fenêtres en arc de cercle. Rénové, repensé, et équipé avec gout en 2022, tout en respectant les choix de l'architecte Fernand Pouillon, il offre aujourd'hui tout le confort pour un séjour inoubliable à Marseille. Situé en plein cœur de Marseille, entre la gare et le vieux port, tous les transports et commerces sont à proximité, notamment le cinéma d'Art et d'essai: Les Variétés au pied de l'immeuble ou encore le marché de Noailles et ses saveurs d'orient.
Composition de l'appartement:
L'appartement a été complémentent rénové dans le respect des choix de l’architecte (il est d'ailleurs ouvert au public pour des visites lors des journées du patrimoine). Il offre de beaux matériaux et fournitures de choix alliant qualité des produits et choix de esthétisme et des couleurs. Le bois est bien évidement présent avec ses 15 fenêtres et son parquet massif.
Le mobilier a été choisi en adéquation avec l'appartement.
L'entrée de l'appartement se fait dans un hall lumineux desservant sur votre gauche la salle de bain avec douche et la cuisine ouverte. Face à vous le salon et le coin sale à manger. Sur votre droite une première chambre.
Depuis le salon vous accéderez à la 2ème chambre.
Depuis l'appartement la vue est magnifique avec à la fois Notre dame de la garde, mais également vue sur l'architecture environnante de la Canebiere.
L'appartement est situé au 7ème étage. L'accès se fait par 2 ascenseurs situés dans le grand hall d'entrée de l'immeuble . En cas de panne un monte charge est disponible ou encore les grand escaliers qui permettent une montée sans trop d'effort.
L'appartement est entièrement équipé pour que vous vous y sentiez comme chez vous: Climatisation / Wifi / Machine à Laver le linge / Lave vaisselle / Machine à café Nespresso / Capsules de café de bienvenue offertes ...

Vous serez accueillis sur place de manière personnalisée par une personne de l’agence Cocoonr Marseille qui vous présentera le logement, répondra à vos questions et vous remettra les clés.
Draps et serviettes de toilettes de qualité hôtelière (4/ 5 étoiles) sont fournis, votre lit sera fait à votre arrivée. Torchons et tapis de bain également fournis. Accès internet Wifi.
Situation géographique:
La canebiere, quelle belle adresse ! une chanson lui est même dédiée. Artère principale menant au Vieux Port elle est l'une des emblèmes de Marseille. Elle permet de rejoindre aussi rapidement la gare saint Charles, le vieux port, ou encore le quartier de la plaine et du cours Julien.
Transport:
La gare saint charles est à 5 minutes à pied, le tram et le metro sont aux pieds de l'immeuble.
En saison, sur le Vieux pOrt à 5 minutes à pied, les navettes maritimes de la RTM permettent également de se rendre à la Pointe Rouge, aux Goudes ou encore à l'Estaque.

Отличное жильё для семей
🙂 Великолепный вид на Марсель. Очень удобная кровать. Наличие необходимой бытовой техники. Очень отзывчивые сотрудники агенства. Такое чувство,что мне написали и спросили мое мнение все. Начиная от уборщицы и заканчивая директором. Только и успевал отвечать 😁.
Есть вентиляторы. Два потолочных и ещё два переносных. Интернет быстрый и стабильный. И снова - кровать просто прелесть.
Ключи нам передали при личной встрече и позволили заехать раньше. Я бы рекомендовал данную квартиру для семей.
🙁 Небольшой минус, малюсенький - в ванне вешалка для полотенец отстаёт от стены. Анкера выпали.
Сама квартира расположена в доме сомнительной репутации,как мне показалось. Но потом я понял,что весь Марсель такой. И это никого не смущает.
Комары. Ночью мы сделали ошибку - открыли окно и к нам прилетели комары и всех покусали. Пол ночи я их истреблял. Ну и душно. Без кондиционера в квартире духота. Даже на такой классной кровати спать тяжело.
Но это скорее такая особенность Марселя. Поэтому к квартире вопросов нет. Просто написал для сведения.

🙂 This is a very special apartment. Very clean, well equipped, beautifully furnished and wow.. what a view, over the rooftops with Notre Dame de la Garde a stunning backdrop. Everything we needed was on our doorstep and the Vieux Port just a 5 minute stroll. Communication prior to and on the day of check in was first class (thank you). All in all a very memorable stay.

🙂 Tolles Apartment, zentral gelegen an der großen Flaniermeile von Marseille (Rue Canebière). Stilvoll eingerichtet mit Sinn fürs Detail und allem Praktischen ausgestattet, was es für einen Wohlfühl-Aufenthalt braucht. Guter und prompter Service der Hausverwaltung.

We were very satisfied with the apartment. It is very central and well equipped. It was also spotlessly clean. Our contact person was very helpful.
Should you be arriving by car, it is worth knowing that you can't deliver your bags to the door of the apartment building. There are, however, carparks relatively nearby.
As it is such an active part of town, there was always 'streeet noise'. However, this didn't concern (or suprise) us for we wanted to be in the city centre.

🙂 The apartment is fantastic (congrats to the architect and the homages to Le Corbusier!) in a historical building and a superb location.
It has everything you need, it's just a shame that it's hot and there is little you could do to improve the situation (maybe a ceiling fan in the room in the middle instead of the chandelier).

Ferien im Baudenkmal. Wir waren fast zwei Wochen in dieser wunderschön renovierten Wohnung. Geschmackvoll möbliert, gut ausgestattete Küche, alles mit hochwertigen Materialien. Die 15 Holzfenster sind im Originalzustand (einfach verglast), sodass die Geräusche der Strasse im 7. Stock zu hören sind. Auch im Oktober war es noch recht warm in der Wohnung, da die Sonne den Raum aufheizt. Im Sommer sicher heiss, aber es hat mehrere Ventilatoren. Die Wohnung sieht so aus wie auf den Fotos. Bei uns funktionierten die Lifte, nur einer bediente auch das Erdgeschoss. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, die Rue Canebière wurde durch die Verkehrsberuhigung etwas aufgewertet, ist aber sicher keine «Luxusmeile». Wir können diese Wohnung empfehlen und waren sehr gern dort. Wir fühlten uns sicher, auch wenn die Flure etwas anonym sind und das Gebäude nicht so gut unterhalten wird wie die Wohnung selbst. Dieses charmante Apartment ist ideal, um Marseille zu erkunden. Die Aussicht im Cinemascope-Format ist grandios und trägt zum speziellen Wohngefühl bei.

🙂 The location is perfect. The apartment is very attractively appointed. The kitchen is well equipped. We really appreciated all the fans for cooling off.
🙁 Extra information that guests should comply with is not in an obvious place and so we did not see it. As a result we might be charged extra cleaning costs. We actually looked for this information and provided feedback to say it would have been helpful, only to be told it was there but not obvious to any of the four people who stayed there. Also when the keys were handed to us they should have told us but they did not and they were unresponsive in a timely manner to my texts. So our complaint would be with the management company and not the apartment itself.

🙂 Het appartement zelf was erg mooi: ruim en prachtige inrichting. Ook locatie was top.
🙁 Communicatie op voorhand was ondermaats, ik heb meermaals melding gekregen van problemen met betaling, zelfs nadat het bedrag van de rekening was. Ik moest ook extra betalen omdat we na 22u pas aankwamen met de vlucht. Daarnaast waren de liften (er waren er 3) in het gebouw ons hele verblijf defect waardoor we telkens opnieuw 7 verdiepen per trap moesten doen.

🙂 Die zentrale Lage und Ausstattung der Wohnung ist sehr gut. Grundsätzlich ist Marseille eine sehr interessante Stadt mit einem guten Angebot des Öffentlichen Nahverkehrs.
🙁 Aufgrund der Einfachverglasung ist es tags und nachts sehr laut in der Wohnung, weil die Wohnung in einer belebten Straße mit Straßenbahn und Autoverkehr bis spät in die Nacht liegt. Außerdem Hupen Franzosen, insbesondere RollerfahrerInnen, sehr gern. Darüber hinaus befindet sich gegenüber eine Polizeistation und im selben Gebäude eine Feuerwache, so dass häufig mit Sirenenlärm gerechnet werden muss. Außerdem testet die Feuerwehr gern ihre Ausrüstung, z.B. die Kettensäge gegen 7 Uhr. In der Wohnung selbst waren alle Böden schmutzig (Küche nicht gewischt, alle Böden staubig). Auch die Fenster wurden schon länger nicht gereinigt.
Sehr störend war auch die intensive nächtliche Reinigung der Fußgängerzone zwischen 3 Uhr und 5 Uhr. Durch die lauten Abluftgeräusche der Fahrzeuge ist es, als würde man am Flughafen schlafen. Etwas leiser ist es nur in dem separierten Schlafzimmer, dass nochmal durch Fenster/ Wände vom Hauptraum abgegrenzt ist. Gegen den Lärm liegen in einem Fach Ohrstöpsel bereit. Ich kann damit leider nicht schlafen.
Die Fenster sind außerdem nicht dicht. Dies war insbesondere nach dem Hauseinsturz mit Brand von Nachteil, wodurch sich ein intensiver Rauch über ganz Marseille ausbreitete und anschließend in der Wohnung verteilte.
Insbesondere der Hauseingang und er Hausflur sind in einem erschreckenden Zustand. Regelmäßig liegen Obdachlose im Eingangsbereich.
Wir waren vom 02.04 bis 11-04.2023 in der Unterkunft.

I can not recommend the apartment it is in a dangerous area and the pictures are misleading. There is no Air- Conditioning, the elevator wasn´t working at all and the area is very noisy : Subway, Fire Department, Police Station and lots of homeless hanging out there.

Dear Christiane,
We are deeply sorry that your stay in Marseille turned out to be a bad experience.
The Building Canebière is a historical building, designed in the 50ies by famous architect Fernand Pouillon and awarded the « Heritage of the 20th Century» label by French Ministry of Culture. This is why, among other things, air conditioning is not allowed in the appartements, as explained in the description. This is also why we have so far not chosen to turn the 15 bay windows of the apartment into double glazed ones, so as to keep Pouillon’s original design (the appartment is one of the last with original windows). And it also explains that sometimes the elevator (which is about to be changed) is not working, which can be frustrating even if Pouillon’s stairs are suprisingly easy to climb.
Last but not least, the neibourhood of Noailles is indeed the « hyper center », one of the most active areas of the city : it is a cosmopolitan and popular district, famous for its restaurants and its animation, but also a historical district of Marseille, with in front of the apartment, the former palace Grand Hotel Noailles-Métropole. The building itself is secured with guards 24/24.
